Dr. Jack Calisi, PT, DPT
Jack is the physical therapist at our Quogue location. He competed in track and field at Bucknell, and he treats the orthopedic cases, hips and shoulders especially, that keep people out of what they enjoy.
The therapist at the Quogue office.
Jack is originally from Stony Brook, New York, and attended St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington. He completed his undergraduate education at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, where he also competed in track and field, then returned to Long Island to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University.
While completing his education he worked as a physical therapy aide at multiple outpatient clinics on Long Island, and he completed four clinical rotations across acute care and outpatient orthopedic settings. He joined the team here as a physical therapist in the new Quogue location.
The way he frames the work: when you are dealing with injuries, aches and pains, you can quickly lose sight of the things you truly enjoy doing. He wants to help patients regain confidence in movement, rebuild strength, and get back to those activities. The core values he names are humility, integrity and compassion for others. Outside work he is with family and friends, exercising, playing music or snowboarding.
What he brings into the room.

What Jack works on.
Hip and shoulder pathologies are where his interest sits, which is useful, because those two joints are among the easiest to mistake for something else. A hip problem can present as back pain. A shoulder problem can present as a neck complaint. Sorting that out takes an unhurried evaluation.
He treats a broad range of orthopedic conditions beyond those two, and he came to this practice specifically for the team-oriented environment and the commitment to quality care.
