What Our Patients Say

Rated 5.0 on Google across 300+ reviews. Every word on this page was written by a patient, quoted the way they wrote it.

Nothing on this page was written by us.

Greiner Physical Therapy holds a 5.0 rating on Google across 300+ reviews. That figure is the total number of reviews on the profile, not a count of the flattering ones, and it is what you will find if you go and look for yourself.

What follows is a selection of them, quoted as written. Spelling, punctuation and the names of the therapists people wanted to thank are left exactly as the patient typed them. Nothing has been tidied up to read better.

Read them for the patterns rather than the praise. The same handful of things keep coming up: one therapist for the whole session, a home program people can actually follow, appointments that start on time, and getting back to one specific thing they had given up on.

The team of licensed physical therapists at Greiner Physical Therapy

What patients name most often.

Four things that show up again and again in these reviews, unprompted.

One therapist, whole session

The most repeated observation in these reviews is that the person who evaluated them is the person who treated them, every visit.

Appointments that start on time

People notice when a clinic respects their afternoon, and they mention it without being asked to.

A home program they can follow

The home exercise app comes up by name, because patients could see exactly how each movement was supposed to look.

Licensed physical therapists only

No assistants and no aides. Reviewers who had been through physical therapy before are usually the ones who point this out.

Two knee replacements, one-on-one throughout.

"I had a personal experience working with expert therapists there after undergoing two knee replacements. The one-on-one attention I received was second to none."
Greiner patient · Two knee replacements

The patients who come back for the second joint.

There is a specific kind of review that carries more weight than any other: the one written by somebody who had a second surgery and chose the same clinic again. They already know what those weeks feel like, and they know what a mediocre rehab looks like from the inside. Post-surgical recovery is heavily represented in this practice’s reviews, and the repeat patients are the reason.

Back for the other knee.

"I had my second knee replacement surgery and had wonderful results with the first one when I was treated by Anthony. He is an excellent therapist and I highly recommend this practice to anyone."
Phillip R. · Knee replacement recovery

Getting moving soon after surgery.

Hip and knee replacements set the clock early. The window right after surgery is when range of motion is won or quietly lost, and it is a bad time to be handed to whoever happens to be free on the floor. The review below was written by somebody who started rehab within weeks of his operation.

Out of surgery and straight into rehab.

"I had hip replacement surgery on 7/14 and started PT around 7/31. All the Physical Therapists were very professional, knowledgeable and very encouraging!"
Ted B. · Hip replacement recovery

The work that happens before the surgery.

Not every plan of care starts after an operation. Building strength and range beforehand changes what the first weeks afterward feel like, and it is one of the more useful things a licensed physical therapist can do with a patient who already has a surgery date on the calendar.

Prepared going in, rebuilt coming out.

"Excellent care, understanding of my needs. Extremely nice people, both professionals and support team. All did a wonderful job helping me before and two months after knee surgery."
Jorge B. · Before and after knee surgery

Rotator cuff repair, one degree at a time.

Shoulders are slow, and that is the honest version of it. After a rotator cuff repair the gains arrive in small increments of range and strength across weeks, which is exactly why the work needs somebody paying attention to it every session rather than a printed sheet and a resistance band.

More range, more strength, week over week.

"Anthony has been terrific and I am continually having more range of motion and strength in my shoulder after having rotator cuff surgery."

Three things that do not change.

The reason the reviews below keep describing the same experience.

The same therapist

You are not reintroduced to somebody new halfway through a plan of care, and nobody picks up your file cold. The clinician who evaluated you owns your case.

Hands-on work first

Manual therapy to restore mobility, then the loading and exercise that make the change hold. In that order, and for a reason.

A full 30 to 60 minutes

Session length is set by your condition and the techniques being used, not by how many people are waiting behind you on the floor.

Full attention, entire session.

"Highly recommend. The staff is professional and friendly. Every therapist provides full attention and focus on improvement during entire session."
Diane H. · Google review

The comparison patients make themselves.

The practice was built on one rule: no assistants and no aides. It is an easy promise to check, which is why the reviewers who have been to other clinics are the ones who bring it up. They are not describing an ideal, they are describing the difference from last time.

Different from the last place.

"He works with his patients directly for the entire session which was different and better than other physical therapy offices I have been to in the past."
Greiner patient · Testimonial

The part you do without us.

Two or three visits a week leaves a lot of week. What you do in between is where most of the progress actually lives, which is why every patient leaves with specific exercises in a home exercise app rather than a photocopy. Patients name the app in their reviews without being asked to, and that is the only recommendation for it worth printing.

One on one, plus a program for home.

"If you're looking for physical therapy this is the place to be! One on one training, practitioners who listen and invite feedback, and an app to help with at home exercises."
Sheryl D. · Google review

Patients who return years later.

A practice can win somebody once with a good first impression. Winning them again two years later, for a different problem and with a different therapist, is a harder thing and a better signal. The treating team is seven licensed physical therapists who all work the same way, so the second experience is meant to feel like the first.

Two therapists, two years apart.

"Greiner is an excellent and caring facility. Systems for home excercise are top notch. I worked with Matt who did not disappoint after the very high bar set by Seth when he helped me two years ago."
Richard G. · Returning patient

Pain that has been there for years.

Some people arrive having been told, in one polite way or another, that this is simply how their body is now. They have rested it, stretched it, and been handed a sheet of exercises. Chronic pain is not treated here by repeating any of that louder: it starts with finding out what is actually failing and what has been compensating for it.

Better range of motion than in decades.

"Seth is practically a miracle worker! I am in less pain and have better range of motion than I have had in decades! Literally. This far exceeds my expectations!"
Lynne J. · Long-standing pain

After a serious injury.

Spine injuries and neurological conditions are the cases where the plan has to be rebuilt week to week, because the body keeps changing what it can do. Post-operative spine care, stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s work all happen here, and the owner is the head coach of Rock Steady Boxing Hampton Bays for the Parkinson’s community.

Post-operative care after a spine injury.

"I recently had a life changing accident resulting in a serious spine injury. Post operative care and therapy has been amazing. Great Dr's and staff."
Eric T. · Spine injury recovery

People who have been to a few.

The most useful reviewer is the one with a long memory of other clinics. They are not measuring this practice against an ideal, they are measuring it against the four other waiting rooms they have sat in. Those reviews tend to be the shortest ones on the page.

Fifteen years of physical therapy elsewhere.

"I have gone to PT for the last 15 years at other institutions offering PT. No one compares to Greiner PT."
John S. · Google review
