Mobile Physical Therapy Across the Hamptons

The way this practice started. A licensed physical therapist comes to you, and the plan gets built around your actual stairs, your actual chair, your actual kitchen.

In 2015, this was the whole practice.

Before there was a clinic in Speonk, there was a car. Seth Greiner left hospital and outpatient work in 2015 and started driving to patients across the Hamptons, one person at a time, a full session each, because that was the only way he could deliver the care he thought people should get. The Speonk clinic opened in 2021 and Quogue followed, but the mobile service never stopped, and the one-on-one rule everything here is built on came out of it.

Mobile physical therapy is the same licensed therapist, the same examination and the same plan of care, delivered where you are. What changes is the information. Your therapist sees the stairs you actually climb, the height of the bed you actually get out of, the chair you actually sit in and the doorway you actually turn in, then builds the program against those instead of against a clinic floor you will never stand on again.

It also removes the two things that end plans of care early: getting there and getting home. No driving after a session that took something out of you, no cancelled visit because the weather turned, no waiting room. And the home program tends to stick, because you learned it in the room where you are going to do it.

Mobile Physical Therapy at Greiner Physical Therapy

Who we drive to.

Patients for whom the trip to a clinic is the hardest part of the treatment.

Early After Surgery

The first weeks after a knee or hip replacement, when a car ride is the most painful thing in the day.

Older Adults Staying Independent

Adults who intend to keep living in their own home, and need the work done in that home.

Stroke And Neurological Recovery

Rebuilding walking, transfers and strength in the environment where those skills have to hold up.

Balance And Fall Risk

Fall prevention where the real hazards are: your rugs, your lighting, your steps.

Schedules That Will Not Bend

Patients whose work and family calendar makes the clinic appointment the thing that gets dropped.

Anyone Travel Makes Worse

Chronic illness, pain that flares in a car, or a condition that makes leaving the house an ordeal.

How a home visit works.

Same care, read against your own rooms.

A Call First

We confirm what you need, where you are, and whether a home visit is genuinely the better option for your case. Some problems are better served on the clinic floor, and we will tell you if yours is one of them.

The In-Home Evaluation

Your therapist examines you, then reads the room: stair height, bed and chair height, bathroom layout, floor surfaces, and the routes you take most often. The plan comes out of both halves.

Treatment In Your Space

Hands-on work and exercise using what is already there, a counter, a chair, a step, plus what your therapist brings. All you need to supply is a standard exercise mat and a little clear floor.

The Program In Place

Your home program is taught in the place you will do it, on the furniture you will do it on, which is the single biggest reason home programs actually get done.

What you get from care at home.

The same clinical work, plus information a clinic cannot give you.

A Plan Built For Your House

Exercises and strategies matched to your real stairs, doorways and surfaces.

One Therapist, Whole Session

The same licensed physical therapist, working with you for the entire visit.

Fewer Missed Visits

No transport to arrange, no weather cancellations, no waiting room.

A Home Program That Sticks

Learned in context, so it survives past discharge.

Questions about mobile physical therapy.

01 / Where do you travel?
Across the Hamptons and the surrounding Suffolk County towns. Tell us your address when you call and we will confirm before anything is booked, because we would rather say no than turn up late to your session.
02 / What do I need to have at home?
A standard exercise mat and a bit of clear floor. Your therapist works with the furniture you already own and brings whatever else the session needs. You do not have to buy equipment to start.
03 / Do I need a referral, and how is this billed?
No referral is needed in New York for up to 30 days or 10 visits, whichever comes first. We are in network with Medicare and Medicare Advantage, out of network with most other plans, and we submit claims on your behalf. Medicaid is not accepted. Mention mobile visits specifically when you call, since coverage for them can differ from clinic visits.

What our patients say.

"He works with his patients directly for the entire session which was different and better than other physical therapy offices I have been to in the past."
